After more than 21 years of independent operation, SnipeSearch has formally entered its next phase of growth.
As of April 15th, 2026, SnipeSearch is now part of Snipe Group Limited, a private limited company registered in England and Wales under Company Number 17158391.

This marks an important milestone for the SnipeSearch ecosystem. It is not a rebrand, a sale, or a change in mission. It is the formalisation of a structure that has already existed in practice for many years.
Built Independently Since 2005
Founded in January 2005, SnipeSearch began as an independent search project with a simple idea: deliver useful web services without relying on surveillance, intrusive profiling, or external control.
Over the past two decades, that idea has grown into a wider ecosystem that now includes multiple search nodes, infrastructure platforms, hosting services, publishing tools, federated social presence, and privacy-respecting advertising systems.
Throughout that growth, SnipeSearch remained self-funded and founder-led.
The move to Snipe Group Limited creates a stronger legal and operational framework for what has become a much broader organisation.
